The Lagos state police command has arrested the controversial singer Portable for allegedly failing to pay the debt he incurred after purchasing G-Wagon from a car dealer
The singer, Habeeb Okikiola was taken into custody on Tuesday.
The sstate police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest to journalists.
“Yes, Portable has been arrested,” Hundeyin said.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker bought the vehicle worth N27 million but paid only N13 million. He was said to have refused to pay the remaining N14 million.
It was learnt that whenever the car dealer contacted him to pay the balance, he usually claimed that the vehicle was bad.
