Davido celebrates daughter Imade’s 9th birthday, vows to reunite with her despite Sophia Momodu’s threats

Award-winning superstar singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has made a heartfelt promise to his first child, Imade Adeleke, as she marks her 9th birthday today.

Despite ongoing tensions with Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, regarding allegations of neglect, the OBO Crooner took to his Instagram story to celebrate Imade’s special day.

In his birthday message, Davido lovingly reassured Imade of his deep affection and promised to reunite with her very soon.

He wrote: “Happy birthday to my first born child Imade Adeleke, just know Daddy loves you so much! And I will see you soon, I promise.”

Recall that in January 2024, Sophia threatened to take legal action against Davido over an alleged threat to her life, cyberbullying and harassment.

The businesswoman, through her lawyers, issued a cease and desist letter to Davido, accusing him of using defamatory remarks and sponsoring negative publications about her.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Unavailable hitmaker and his close friend and colleague, Tiwa Savage, fell out after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.

While netizens tried to figure out what led to their sudden actions, Tiwa’s baby daddy, Teebillz, publicly threatened the DMW bossaccusing him of neglecting his first daughter, Imade and disrespecting his family.

Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, took to social media via her Snapchat page to post a message her daughter sent to her grandmother.

Imade had allegedly written in her message to her grandma that she had been disappointed since the death of her brother, Ifeanyinoting how her father, Davido, was not there when she needed him.
