Afrobeats sensation Davido has vehemently refuted a recent report claiming that he terminated his longstanding legal representation with Bobo Ajudua due to an alleged embezzlement of $370,000.
The report, initially published by blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus on Wednesday, asserted that Davido severed ties with Bobo over accusations of misappropriation and failure to disburse the funds as requested.
She wrote:
“According to sources, I’mhe fired the Lawyer in Dubai and told him to go his way..Out of the $400K with Mr Lawyer, he allegedly returned only $30K and alleged that he settled some bills and paid for tickets…Ticket? PLEASE!He has been making frantic cals to Chioma to beg for him but nsiders allege he was one of those who did not want Chioma to marry Baba lbeji… Davido’s team are reportedly having a party, celebrating the sack of Mr Lawyer who is described as very proud and treated Davidos others friends badly.
“The team was advised by the almighty Chief Adeleke not to comment on the issue but Davido who feels used and betrayed has been posting cryptic messages on his Whatsapp status referring to the situation. Davido camp is presently in Osun celebrating the sack of Mr Lawyer who is allegedly reportedly making frantic calls to settle.”
Responding via an Instagram story on Wednesday, Davido urged the public to dismiss the narrative, emphasizing that he maintains a positive relationship with Bobo and that business dynamics naturally evolve over time.
He wrote: “This was not the case at all! We are still very good friends! In business, things evolve and change all the time! Please everyone disregard this narrative!”
