Portable fails to meet bail conditions, remains in Police custody

Portable to remain in Police custody

Controversial street musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, has remained in police custody for failing to meet the bail conditions for his release.

On Tuesday, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the 30-year-old was arrested for allegedly refusing to pay the N14 million debt he incurred when he bought a G-Wagon from a car dealer in Lagos State.

When efforts to get Portable to pay the balance proved abortive, the car dealer reported the matter to the police and policemen detailed to investigate the case arrested the Zazu singer.

When confronted by the police, the singer jumped a gate and made an attempt to escape but was eventually caught by the police.

According to the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hudenyin on Wednesday, May 15, the singer will remain in detention pending when he’s able to produce a reliable surety before he can be granted bail. Hundeyin said:

“He has presented no reliable surety yet so he (Portable) is still with us.”

In other news, Justin Dean has called out his ex-wife, Korra Obidi for scamming netizens with a GoFundMe account, after she claimed to be in need.

He revealed that she needs only $5000 not $55,000 she received.

This comes after Korra called on her online community members, seeking for their monetary support to provide her legal fees to fight Justin in court.

Justin insists that she scammed her followers of their hard earned money, revealing that she bought 2 cars and 2 houses over the last two years.

He also stated that if she truly couldn’t afford the fees, how was she able to go on a vacation in Hawaii if not with the donated money.

The doctor further buttressed his claims by sharing a voice recording of the dancer’s sister where she was heard saying Korra had the money but needed a different one from her fans to fight against Justin.
