“Why do you want me dead?” – Destiny Etiko rants in viral video

Etiko, fed up with the toxicity, boldly called out her envious colleagues, demanded to know why they're hell-bent on tearing her down and wishing her dead simply because she shines brighter than them.


In a sensational viral video, the celebrated Nigerian actress, Destiny Etiko, unleashed a torrent of seething fury, vehemently retaliating against individuals she perceived are orchestrating her downfall with calculated schemes.

The video posted on her TikTok page captured Destiny Etiko confronting her detractors with piercing questions, challenging them on their motives and animosity towards her.

She demanded to understand the root of their dislike, questioning why her modest achievements in Nollywood elicited envy instead of encouragement, and why some seemed intent on obstructing her success.

The self acclaimed ‘Drama doll’ intensified her rant, challenged them on their wish for her to die, provocatively asking whether they believed her grace and success would somehow become theirs if she were no longer around—a notion she swiftly dismissed as impossible.

She said in parts;

“Why you no like me? Why my little progress they pepper you for body, Why you no want make I dey move forward, you want make I die?, you will carry the oil wey dey my head put for your own?, it can’t work?” 

In her impassioned address, Destiny Etiko posed poignant questions to her critics, questioning whether they would step up to care for her beloved mother and fulfill her responsibilities once she was gone, asked if they would be able to answer to her name in her absence.

Destiny imparted a friendly yet firm reminder that the world is vast enough for everyone to pursue their dreams and achieve success without resorting to hatred and envy.
