RCCG forbids us from proposing to our partners with a ring – Leke Adeboye opens up to Oyedepo’s son (VIDEO)

There's a unique and unforgettable sensation that washes over a woman when her soulmate drops to one knee, professing eternal devotion, and presents a stunning ring that symbolizes their forever bond. It's a treasured moment that couples cherish deeply, replaying it in their minds like a favorite love song. However, Pastor Leke Adeboye regretfully revealed that he and his wife missed out on this magical experience, as the strict rules of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) prohibiting the use of engagement rings robbed him of that special joy. He lamented that their proposal story lacked the extra sparkle, a painful omission that weighs heavily on his heart.

Leke Adeboye, son of the renowned Nigerian cleric and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has set the internet abuzz with his recent disclosure that RCCG prohibits the use of engagement rings when proposing to partners.

Leke disclosed this during his podcast “Confession Box” with Oyedepo’s son, Isaac.

In a candid moment, Leke asked Isaac about his proposal to his wife, specifically if he followed the classic tradition of kneeling with a ring in hand.

This prompted Isaac to share a surprising story: he proposed to his wife, Ayomitide Oyedepo, just a week after meeting her, and confessed he wasn’t well-versed in the customary kneeling and ring tradition.

Leke Adeboye, shared his intimate account of his proposal to his wife, Titilope Rachel Adeboye.

He recounted how he knelt down and read a scroll to her but did so without a ring, adhering to RCCG doctrines that prohibit using rings for proposals.

Leke expressed his painful he felt for not being able to propose with a ring and felt disappointed for his wife missing out on the conventional experience.

To compensate for the absence of an engagement ring, Leke promised to be a good husband to Titilope, a promise he proudly stated he has kept.
