Why Wizkid doesn’t release most of his feature songs with Nigerian artistes – Slimcase

Wizkid can listen to one song 50 times – Slimcase on how difficult pleasing singer is

Musician and content creator, Slimcase has revealed that superstar singer, Wizkid, has so many unreleased song collaborations with Nigerian artistes.

The producer who sat down for a chat on Naija FM, said whenever Wizkid seeks to feature someone, he allows them record how they like without any disruption or attempt to influence them.

He added that when the ‘Joro’ crooner is done with the artiste in the studio and they part ways, he subjects the songs to intense scrutiny and listens to them about 50 times to know if they meet his standards before dropping them.

According to Slimcase, most artistes’ collaborations with Wizkid ended up not being released to the public most likely because they didn’t meet the Starboy’s standards. He said;

“When you make music with Wizkid, he will let you do your thing without any scrutiny, then in your absence, he can listen to the song like 50 times to know if the song meets his standard. That is why you see artistes in the studio with Wizkid and the song never drops.”

In other news, afro-life musician, Oritsefemi has revealed that he accommodated his colleague, Burna Boy, when he had a disagreement with his mother, Bose Ogulu many years ago.

He made this known in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, as he recounted how the Grammy winner cried to him for help.

According to Oritsefemi, Burna Boy had told him that his home was no longer conducive because his ‘mom was suffocating him’.

It was during this same interview that Oritsefemi spoke about his ex-wife, Nabila and how she suffered about 21 miscarriages despite the latter claiming he couldn’t get her pregnant.
