Music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, recently gave fans tips on how to handle critics.
He urged them not to be bothered by criticisms when they attain their goals, stressing that when they were struggling critics didn’t care about them.
According to him, paying attention to critics is a form of distraction.
On his X handle on Saturday, May 18, Don Jazzy wrote:
“Nobody gives a f*ck about you when you are suffering and grinding. If you give a f*ck about what people think about you when you make it, then you didn’t learn shit in the come-up and will be back suffering in no time.”
“Worrying about what people think about you in your grinding phase and your made phase is a distraction.”
Last weekend, Toyin Abraham came under fire after she hailed Kehinde Bankole for winning the Best Actress award at this year’s AMVCA. Many opined that the movie star was happy because her rival, Funke Akindele, didn’t win any awards to the shock of many.
Toyin was also dragged after she penned a note to the organisers of the award ceremony, crowning it the best and realest so far. Her statement didn’t sit well with many, who felt it was a dig at Funke.
A week before the event, Toyin had reignited movie battle with Funke after she teased her newest project, a sequel to her popular movie, Alakada, which will premiere in December.
The news left many divided as some noted how the actress was following in the footsteps of her rival, Funke Akindele, who announced a week before her that she was releasing a sequel to her hit movie, Jenifa.
