I’m Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido’s godfather – Oritsefemi

• Oritsefemi has shared more details about the help he has rendered to some artistes in the entertainment industry.
• The Double Wahala hitmaker boasted that he became rich before many of the currently trending acts came into limelight.
• He also revealed why he believes he is godfather to the likes of the biggest singers in the industry today, Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy.

Nigerian singer, Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, popularly known as Oritsefemi, has claimed that he is his colleagues, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido’s godfather.

He said he had already made money from music before they came into limelight.

According to him, he encouraged the trio to do music.

Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Oritsefemi said:

“I had already made money [from the music industry] when some people were sleeping [yet to come into limelight].

“Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, so many of them [young artists], I encouraged them. I’m like their godfather.

“Even some female celebrities who are now trolling me on social media, I accommodated them in my mansion in Lekki back in the days. Even Burna Boy, I once accommodated him.”

It was in the same interview Oritsefemi shared how he came through for Burna Boy when he came crying to him over serious issues with his mum.

He detailed when Burna Boy came to live with him for months because he sought ways to avoid his mum.

This interview comes days after Burna Boy shared during a live video the older artistes he sees as his OGs and appreciated them for being there for him when he needed help.

However, during the Instagram live session, Burna Boy didn’t talk about Oritsefemi at all.

During the conversation with Chude, the Double Wahala singer shared why Burna Boy left his house to stay with him.

He noted that the singer felt his mum was choking him and his house was the only place he could find solace.
