Afrobeats powerhouse Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, universally known as Burna Boy, is igniting the film industry with his bold new venture as an executive producer.

The multi-award-winning artist is diving into the world of cinema with an electrifying thriller titled 3 Cold Dishes.

This gripping film is a collaborative effort, co-produced alongside Ifind, Alma Productions, Asurf Films, Martian Network, and Black Mic Mac, a dynamic production company dedicated to spotlighting African and Middle Eastern talent.

Burna Boy’s foray into filmmaking is spearheaded by Spaceship Films, the production company he co-founded with his mother, the formidable Bose Ogulu, in 2015.

Known for their innovative and boundary-pushing projects, Spaceship Films is set to bring a fresh and compelling narrative to the big screen.

The film, 3 Cold Dishes, is under the masterful direction of Asurf Oluseyi, a visionary filmmaker who clinched the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Short Film in 2016 with A Day with Death.

In an exclusive interview with Variety Magazine, director Asurf Oluseyi described the upcoming thriller 3 Cold Dishes as a “testament to the strength and resilience of its characters” and an “African cinematic journey like no other.”

The film features an all-star cast of Nollywood’s finest, including Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua. Additionally, the movie showcases international talent with Ivorian actors Fat Toure and Maud Guerard, as well as Senegalese stars Amelie Mbaye and Mentor Ba.
