Nigerian Dancehall sensation, Michael Adebayo Olayinka popularly known as Ruger, clapped back at a fan who teased him about not producing a hit song since leaving Jonzing World record label.
The fan had taken to his comment section to comment of a newly released song and taunted Ruger, saying “No hit since you left Jonzing.”
Ruger who recently spoke about his fallout with his ex-label boss, D’Prince responded confidently, reversing the shade by saying “@efekoga no hit for Jonzing since I left Jonzing.” The singer also added dancing emojis to buttress his point.
Essentially, he turned the tables, implying that the label hasn’t had a hit since his departure, subtly affirming his contribution to their success during his time with them.

Ruger parted ways with Jonzing World on February 6, 2024, following the expiration of his contract.
In an Instagram post, he said he is grateful to Jonzing World and D’Prince but it was time for him to take a bet on himself
The ‘Asiwaju’ hitmaker also announced his new record label named ‘Blown Boy Entertainment’.
He then adjusted his profile names on social media to reflect the new label.
Speaking via a voice recording, Ruger expressed thankfulness to people who have been supporting him since the beginning of his career while calling for their support.
The 24-year-old singer also said he will soon reveal his next plan for the year via the new channel.
