Renowned Nollywood actress, Biola Bayo, is overwhelmed with grief following the tragic passing of a young woman named Nike, who shared her heartbreaking story on Bayo’s podcast just days earlier.
Nike had courageously revealed her sexual relations with dogs and sexual harassment by an actor, which had led to her struggles with depression and mental health.
Biola Bayo took to the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, obviously devastated by the news of Nike’s suicide. Stating that she feels like a failure for not being able to help the deceased, the mother of one said she faced criticism from some who accused her of fabricating the story for attention, which she vehemently denied.
Biola Bayo mourned the loss of Nike, lamenting that she had only offered a listening ear and never suspected the severity of her struggles.
The actress’s emotional video tribute is a heart-wrenching plea for compassion and understanding.
Following the sad news, the actress turned podcaster received a chat from an associate of Nike who found a suicide note addressed to the Biola.
In the handwritten letter, the lady who took her life right after the interview appreciated the actress for relieving the weight of her troubles. Biola Bayo who shared the note along with a photo of the deceased wrote:
“This The Note I Got From Her Friend ….She didn’t wait to see the interview 😭😭😭😭 she didn’t wait to see all the online bullies 😭😭,”
The letter reads:
“She gave me a listening hear. How I wish I had this opportunity long time ago but I’m glad I did this at least I won’t be giving into my pains and sorrow. Mum fails as a mother but I forgive her.
“I’m also sorry I can’t wait to watch the outcome of my interview. I promise to rest well in the blossom of the Lord. Anyone seeing this should please go to my phone and send this to a contact saved as new family; tell her I’m saying a big thank you for giving me the golden opportunity.”
