“No coma, it just comedy” – Ijoba Lande debunks Aunty Ramota’s BBL surgery drama

Ijoba Lande addresses speculations surrounding Aunty Ramata’s health status

Yoruba skit maker, Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande has refuted claims suggesting that Nigerian actress and comedian Ramota Adetu, popularly known as Aunty Ramota, is in a coma due to complications arising from Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.

The controversy began when blogger Tosin Silverdam took to Instagram to allege that Aunty Ramota underwent BBL surgery to enhance her appearance.

Tosin Silverdam claimed that the procedure, conducted at a hospital in Lagos State’s Ikorodu area, resulted in severe complications, ultimately leaving Aunty Ramota in a coma.

However, Ijoba Lande swiftly addressed the situation, asserting that the viral video showcasing Aunty Ramota undergoing the alleged surgery was merely staged for “content” purposes.

Ijoba Lande emphasized that he had spoken to individuals close to Aunty Ramota, who confirmed that the BBL procedure was not real.

Expressing his disappointment with fellow comedians Dare and Ebute Council, Lande claimed that they initially confirmed the authenticity of the incident but later remained inaccessible when he attempted to clarify the situation.

He also mentioned attempting to contact Aunty Ramota’s associate, Aboki, who also reportedly denied knowledge of the incident.

In a video shared on his TikTok handle, Lande addressed the public, urging them to remain calm as Aunty Ramota is not in a coma.

In his words;

“I’m disappointed in Dare and Ebute Council over what happened to Ramota; even you, Aboki, deny knowledge of what happened. I called you to beg if it was a prank or content but you said it was real. I called Dare and Ebute Council, and Aunty Lara, but they refused to pick up their calls. I later got to know that Aunty Lara travelled.

“Nigerians, Aunty Ramota is not in coma; initially, I thought it was content but when I saw them carrying her in a stretcher, that was when I knew. I called Aunty Lara’s mother; she didn’t pick up, then I sent a voice note; that was when she told me that it was not real. She informed me that Aunty Ramota is not in Lagos, and that they went to Ede or someplace.

“Let me stress again that Ramota is not in a coma, I was just told that it’s content and I don’t know her whereabouts. Everybody should relax because it’s content.”
