Popular Nigerian media personality cum lawyer, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has opened up about his struggle with three health scares and surgery in 2023.
The Big Brother Naija host and former housemate, said despite the health scares during the year, he ended last year in surgery.
Not revealing what he later went into surgery for, Ebuka Obi Uchendu however said he is now focused on “fixing” his body in 2024.
Sharing photos to accompany his post on his X handle, Ebuka Obi Uchendu wrote:
“[I] Had 3 health scares in 2023 and ended the year in surgery… Fixing the body in 2024.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian comedienne Anita Asuoha better known as Real Warri Pikin has disclosed how she almost regretted opening up about her weight loss journey while reflecting on the backlash that followed.
The comedian divulged that she had numerous health problems as a result of her weight before having the gastric sleeve surgery. Adding during an interview that she frequently needed to be hospitalized due to her severe illness struggles.
According to Warri Pikin, this had an impact on her capacity to perform and support herself.
Warri Pikin recounted the criticism she received after disclosing her experience undergoing gastric sleeve surgery.
She acknowledged that she regretted the unfavorable comments she had gotten and that she had questioned her decision to give further details about her transformation.
Warri Pikin added that she has come to understand that people find it difficult to accept change.
