Veteran Nigerian actor Sule Suebebe is dead

Sule Suebebe, a Yoruba acting legend with a unique flair for bringing characters to life, was a pure delight to behold in his prime, but his final days were shrouded in a dark and bitter struggle with illness, a cruel twist of fate that left him grappling with the weight of regret and the agony of a life unfulfilled. The news of his passing this morning has left a sour taste in the mouths of those who stood by him through thick and thin, tried every trick in the book to help him recover, but ultimately succumbed to the cold, harsh hand of fate, leaving behind only memories and a legacy that will forever be cherished.


Dayo Adewunmi, the esteemed icon of Nollywood, affectionately known as Sule Suebebe, has tragically passed away.

His death, shrouded in the morning mist of Wednesday, occurred within the walls of an undisclosed hospital in the bustling heart of Ibadan, Oyo State’s vibrant capital.

The somber announcement of his demise was painfully delivered by Pastor Ademola Amusan, the renowned cleric of Ibadan, also recognized as Agbala Gabriel, who had been diligently tending to the veteran actor during his final months.

Announcing Suebebe’s death, Agbala Gabriel wrote on his Facebook page, “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at the hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

The Ekiti-based thespian, who appeared frail while speaking in the video shared on social media by Agbala Gabriel, the Nigerian cleric, asked the women he offended to forgive him.

The actor, who is popular in the Yoruba film industry, was said to be battling health issues and cannot walk.

In the video, Suebebe said in his youth, he had numerous lovers and that he had no idea who he had offended.
