VDM was reportedly arraigned at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, faced five counts of cyberstalking involving the Nigeria police and Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dike, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The police prosecution moved to have the popular social media critic remanded in prison custody but his lawyers, which includes Deji Adeyanju made an application for him to be kept in police custody.

The court granted their request and he was subsequently taken to the National Cybercrime Centre.

On Monday, June 10, Verydarkman was spotted arriving in court this morning, alongside Deji Adeyanju, while those in attendance, including supporters and spectators, were seated and anticipating the commencement of the hearing.
