- Shan George has waded into the online drama between Nedu and Yvonne Jegede.
- Recall that it all began when Yvonne spoke about May Edochie’s plight in a matter that was termed insensitive on Nedu’s podcast.
- Although the actress has tendered an apology, Shan George has opined that Nedu did nothing wrong.
Veteran Nigerian actress, Shan George has come forward with her opinion on the online drama between podcast host Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu, and Yvonne Jegede.
Jegede and Nedu exchanged words on social media after the latter berated the former for issuing a public apology for some of her comments on the recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast.
Nedu shaded Jegede for not owning up to her comments on the podcast which he co-hosted.
The actress in turn lambasted Nedu, calling him a “narcissistic and toxic” man who is rumoured to hate women.
Reacting, Shan George defended Nedu, saying he did nothing wrong by interviewing Jegede.
She said Jegede should have been more conscious of her comments on the podcast.
Speaking in a video message shared via her Instagram account, Shan George said:
“The truth is that you have a right to speak out, stand to be corrected, and apologise when you offend. And that’s what Yvonne has done. And there’s no need to be escalating the issue.
“What Nedu has done is do his job. Nedu’s own is to ask you questions; to make you speak out. So at the end of the day, he hasn’t done anything wrong. It’s your duty to mind your words. But if you speak wrongly like we all do sometimes, then you apologise. So I don’t know why anybody is escalating this issue. Yvonne has said what she said and she has apologised. As far as I am concerned, her apology is enough.”
