Angry netizens storm Prime Video to rate Yvonne Jegede’s new movie poorly

Yvonne Jedege gets rated poorly on Prime Video

Disgruntled netizens in response to Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede’s initial comment on a podcast have expressed their resentment by flooding Prime Video with negative reviews of her new movie, “A Father’s Love”.

This backlash follows Yvonne’s podcast interview where she defended Yul Edochie’s decision to take a second wife, Judy Austin while comparing his case to that of Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko.

Yvonne’s remarks were perceived as insensitive and dismissive of May Edochie’s struggles in her marriage by her fans.

Although Yvonne apologized for her comments, fans of May Edochie remain upset and have targeted Yvonne’s movie with negative reviews on Prime Video.

A screenshot showed how the movie rating drastically went from 5.2 to 2.9 in 24 hours.

Sharing the screenshot, One @judy_obasiyul_autism wrote:

“Thank you soo much to everyone who made this possible. We are not comrades for nothing. We managed to bring down her movie rating from 5.2 to 2.9.. Hoping tomorrow it will be 1 rating.
The lowest rating a movie can ever be. We did that.”

In other news, veteran actress, Rita Edochie takes a swipe at Yvonne Jegede for supporting Yul Edochie and Judy Austin’s marriage during a recent podcast.

Yvonne Jegede had appeared on The Honest Bunch podcast, where she voiced her support for Yul Edochie’s decision to marry a second wife, Judy Austin, before later issuing a public apology.

Rita Edochie, who has consistently opposed Yul’s marriage to Judy, expressed her disappointment in Yvonne’s remarks. Rita questioned whether Yvonne would have defended Yul the way she did if May were to be her sister.

Rita further highlighted the difference between Yul and Regina Daniels’ husband, Ned Nwoko, noting that Yul humiliated his estranged wife publicly on social media, while Ned, a known polygamist and Muslim, follows his religion’s allowances for multiple wives.

Acknowledging that polygamy is neither a sin nor an abomination, Rita emphasized that it often brings chaos.
