Popular Afrobeats singer Ruger, shares a harrowing car accident he had in 2023.
Ruger recounted the details of the car crash, which occurred at night while he was driving in Lagos with his friends.
He revealed that the car somersaulted three times, but thankfully, everyone involved escaped without major injuries.
In a recent interview on ‘The Road Show‘ Cool FM Lagos, Ruger revealed that he has not driven a car since the terrifying accident.
He said:
“The last time I drove in Lagos I had an accident. It was at night, we were playing around when it happened and nobody actually knows about it. This is the first time I’m talking about it. The car tumbled like 3 times but everyone was okay. This was last year by the way.”
Ruger was not the only celebrity involved in an accident, in February 2024, Isreal DMW and Shallipopi found themselves in a heart-stopping car collision .
Isreal DMW, via his Instagram story, revealed their miraculous escape, recounted the terrifying ordeal that unfolded as they made their way back from Shallipopi’s show in Abuja.
In the gripping footage shared on his page, the car’s wreckage was a stark testament to the severity of the accident, leaving Shallipopi surrounded by a crowd at the scene. Isreal DMW could be heard in his usual spirited manner, rallying and encouraging Shallipopi.
Amidst the chaos, voices in the background pointed fingers at another driver, blaming them for the collision that left their vehicle mangled.
Captioning the video, Isreal DMW provided a vivid account of the auto crash, explaining how another vehicle collided with theirs on their way back to the hotel after the Abuja show.
He highlighted his position in the front seat and Shallipopi’s in the back before the accident, while expressing profound gratitude to God Almighty and their Edo ancestors for their unscathed survival.
