Hazel Oyeze Onou, aka Whitemoney, the winner of Big Brother Naija’s ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season, has made a bold claim about his experience in the All Stars edition.
According to him, his money played a significant role in his progress on the show, rather than fan support.
In a recent conversation with YouTuber Olufemi Daniel, Whitemoney revealed that he wasn’t surprised when he was evicted, as he had already anticipated not winning the show.
He explained that before entering the show, he had provided his team with funds to vote for him.
Whitemoney stated:
“I wasn’t shocked [when I got evicted] because I knew I wouldn’t win. I was the one who gave money to my team to keep subscribing. My money took me that far. People’s voting was just two per cent, my money took me that far”.
Speaking on his music, Whitemoney boasted had that No Nigerian artist can match his talent.
Whitemoney shared his belief that most Nigerian artists lack depth in their lyrics.
Whitemoney emphasized that his music is distinct and intentional, unlike others in the industry.
He expressed his dislike for being categorized or limited, refusing to be defined by industry standards.
Whitemoney declared:
“I am the first of my kind. I created my own kind of sound and I don’t look up to my colleagues. I am not the best but nobody is better than me.
“No artist make music like my music. Their sounds are not intentional to me. So when you drag me thinking you are hurting me, you are doing me a favour. Don’t stop dragging me. Never give up…”
