Pastor Emmanuel Iren of Celebration Church International gives an important message to Nigerian Pastors, cautioning them against receiving certain gifts that may come with harmful consequences.
In a recent sermon, he shared an example of a young boy who offered a tithe of one million Naira, which he politely declined upon learning it was the boy’s school fees.
Pastor Emmanuel emphasized that not every gift offered to pastors should be accepted, citing the potential for exploitation.
He specifically advised against demanding large monetary “seeds of faith” from students, as this could encourage fraudulent behavior.
He urged pastors to stop accepting substantial gifts from widows that might cause them financial hardship.
Pastor Emmanuel also rebuked his fellow pastor abroad who had encouraged his members to go into debt to make large monetary gifts, highlighting the damaging consequences of such actions.
His message has garnered alot of reactions from his followers, with many celebrating him for being an exceptional pastor who always say the truth as it is.
