The heart-wrenching announcement came via Instagram from renowned movie producer Stanley Nwoko, widely known as Stanley Ontop, who shared the heartbreaking news of Stella’s passing.
According to Stanley Ontop’s post, Stella departed this world today, June 16th, following a courageous battle with the ravages of leg cancer.
In bidding her farewell, Stanley conveyed his heartfelt message:
“Popular Nollywood actress/veteran Mrs stella ikwuegbu is dead.
“The veteran Actress left this world today after battling with Leg cancer. Rest well madam Stella. Nollywood not againI..t’s well, Shalom!”.

In a subsequent post, he shared a gripping video clip capturing individuals he identifies as his colleagues, who are seen confirming the tragic death and offering solace to a woman he claims is the recently deceased’s daughter.

In related news, Veteran Nollywood actor, Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known as Sule Suebebe, is dead.
The Yoruba actor died on Wednesday morning at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The news of his death was announced by a popular Ibadan-based cleric, Pastor Ademola Amusan, also known as Agbala Gabriel, who had been caring for the actor in recent months.
Announcing Suebebe’s death, Agbala Gabriel wrote on his Facebook page, “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at the hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
