Why I’m pulling down my new song with Wizkid from online platforms – Terry G (VIDEO)

Terry G, a music icon and household name in Nigeria, has been eerily silent for years, leaving fans in a state of high anticipation. However, he recently shattered the silence with a blazing hot collaboration with WizKid, sending seismic waves throughout the music industry. In a viral interview, Terry G dropped a bombshell, revealing his intention to pull the plug on the songs, citing reasons that left fans gobsmacked and wondering what went wrong. He also spun a yarn about WizKid's past gestures of affection, recounting how the Starboy lavished him with love and admiration.

Popular singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, renowned as Terry G, has spilled the tea on the bitter-sweet encounters he’s had with his international superstar colleague, WizKid.

In a riveting appearance on the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast with Nigerian media personality, Adesope Olajide, Terry G kicked things off by showering accolades on Wizkid, whom he boldly dubbed as the Nigerian counterpart to Jay-Z—a titan in American hip-hop renowned not only for his musical prowess but also for his billionaire status and groundbreaking influence on hip-hop culture worldwide.

The ‘Akpako Master’ then delved into a nostalgic recounting of a pivotal moment in 2016 when Wizkid himself graced Terry G’s humble abode for a momentous recording session.

He revealed that during Wizkid’s visit, they not only recorded four songs together but also took a tour of his impressive property investments.

When Adesope asked Terry G about the unauthorized release of his joint song ‘Mary Jane’ with Wizkid online without clearance from Wizkid and his team, Terry G candidly admitted to not having obtained permission.

He expressed frustration at receiving a stern letter from Wizkid’s team, accusing him of breaching their agreement by releasing the track without consent.

Nostalgically reminiscing about simpler times, Terry G lamented the days when he could release joint songs independently without needing anyone’s approval.

Terry G vowed to promptly instruct his team to remove ‘Mary Jane’ from all streaming platforms, acknowledged the need to respect Wizkid’s rights and honor their prior agreements.
