- Fat Joe has said that Chris Brown would have been on the same level as the late “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson, if he never got into a controversy with his then-girlfriend Rihanna in the early days of his career.
- He described Chris Brown as the most talented singer, hitmaker and performer of this generation.
Legendary American rapper Fat Joe has made a profound statement, suggesting that Chris Brown would have reached the same iconic status as Michael Jackson if not for a controversy early in his career.
Fat Joe believes that Chris Brown’s great talent as a singer, hitmaker, and entertainment would have earned him the title of “King of R&B” if not for the highly publicized incident with Rihanna.
According to Fat Joe, Chris Brown’s talent surpasses that of his peers, and he is the most exceptional artist of this time.
He emphasized that if Chris Brown had avoided the controversy, he would be regarded as the modern-day equivalent of the “King of Pop.”
Fat Joe urged fans to move past the incident, which occurred over 20 years ago, and acknowledge Chris Brown’s talent.
In a recent episode of his podcast, “The Biggest Fat Joe,”he said:
“If Chris Brown never got into the controversy with Rihanna, we would be calling him Michael Jackson right now. He’s the most talented singer, artist, performer and hitmaker of our time. There’s nobody even close to Chris Brown.
“And it’s time we move past it [his controversy with Rihanna]. It has been over 20 years and there is no more similar incident against him. What I’m trying to say is that it’s a shame that we’re lying and we’re not giving it up to the King of R&B.”
Recall that Chris Brown was cancelled by many music fans, especially in the Western world, in 2009 after his then-girlfriend Rihanna accused him of physically assaulting her.
