Nollywood stars hold night of tributes for Mr Ibu, Amaechi Munagor, Zulu Adigwe (VIDEO)

As much as we are painfully aware that death is an inevitable reality, the loss of three Nigerian movie icons—Mr. Ibu, Amaechi, and Zulu—within a mere span of 2 months has dealt a devastating blow too profound for colleagues and Nollywood enthusiasts to easily digest. Their passing has left an irreplaceable void that will take years to fill. Emeka Rollas, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, mobilized the industry to pay a fitting tribute to these legends, celebrating their remarkable contributions to the world of Nollywood. As we prepare to bid a final farewell to two of these icons at their upcoming funerals this month, their legacies will continue to inspire and influence generations to come.

Distinguished members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, recently gathered at the iconic National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, for a heartfelt joint night of tributes dedicated to their esteemed late colleagues: John Okafor, famously known as Mr Ibu, Amaechi Munagor, and Zulu Adigwe.

The solemn proceedings commenced with a poignant candlelight procession, which commenced from Marshal roundabout in Surulere at approximately 5pm, winded its way gracefully to the hallowed grounds of the National Stadium Surulere.

The atmosphere was laden with reverence as fellow actors, including movie stars like Kenneth Okonkwo, Emeka Rollas, Zack Orji, Desmond Elliot, Victor Osuagwu, and many others, came together to honor the legacies of their departed friends in a gathering that quickly became a trending sensation across social media.

In a poignant viral video capturing the essence of the evening, the presence of Mr Ibu’s grieving wife and children added a deeply personal touch to the event.
