- Whitemoney noted that Nigerians did the same thing to Burna Boy and when he became successful they tagged him proud for not being affordable to Nigerian show promoters.
- Whitemoney vowed that Nigerian show promoters would regret not supporting him once he became successful globally.
Reality star and singer, Whitemoney, has declared that Nigerians will regret their lack of support for his music career once he achieves international recognition.
Drawing parallels with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy, Whitemoney noted that Nigerians initially doubted Burna Boy’s talent, only to later revere him as a success story.
In a recent interview with Echoo Room, Whitemoney stated that Nigerian show promoters would regret the day they didn’t support him once he attains global success.
He said:
“Nigerian promoters did the same thing they are doing to me to Burna Boy and Davido. They don’t believe in their sounds but when the outsiders [foreigners] are appreciating you, they [Nigerians] would be forced to now believe in you and they will pay times two.
“Nigerian promoters will regret not supporting my music. Your only prayer should be that I shouldn’t make it in this music industry because if I make it, you all will pay.”
He asserted that he has no competitors in the music industry, emphasizing that his style of music is truly unique.
“I’m a king in my lane. For me, nobody rivals my talent. You’re good in your way but me I am the king. That’s why I have my own genre. I don’t do Afrobeats or highlife. My genre is Kumkum,” he said.
Whitemoney was earlier crucified for claiming that he pays his 150 staff 5 years advance.
During a recent appearance on the Echo Room podcast, Whitemoney confirmed the surprising claim, stating that this approach helps him avoid the stress of keeping track of payments.
