Famous Nigerian singer Davido has found himself facing unexpected criticism following his recent traditional wedding with Chioma Rowland in Lagos for not inviting fellow singer Flavour N’abania, despite his cultural heritage.
Flavour, known for being from the same eastern region as Davido’s wife, was notably absent from the wedding ceremony, leading to questions and disappointment among some fans.
A fervent supporter of Flavour took to social media to express their dismay, highlighting the absence of the “Ijele of Africa” at what was described as a grand wedding celebration.
The fan’s post, shared on platforms like X, questioned whether Davido had deliberately omitted an invitation to Flavour or if the oversight was unintentional.
“Before you crucify me, show me evidence and I’ll apologize and keep quiet. I’m compelled to speak out because I’m still searching for answers.
“Why was Flavour N’abania, the ljele of Africa, seemingly left out of Davido’s grand wedding celebration? I’ve scoured the internet for any sign of him at the event, but to no avail.
“As a die-hard fan of Flavour’s music, I’m disappointed and curious. Davido, did you extend an invitation to Flavour, or was he overlooked? Did Chioma, an Igbo daughter, not remind you of Flavour’s significance? Or did he decline the invitation?
Flavour’s absence was felt, and I had hoped to see him perform “Nwunye Odogwu” at the wedding. #CHIVIDO24,” the fan wrote.
