Actor Lawori accuses NURTW boss, Koko Zaria of assault [VIDEO]

Lawori calls out Koko Zaria following attack on him at recent event

Veteran Yoruba actor, Ibrahim Bello Sanya, popularly known as Baba Lawori, has cried out for help following an alleged attack by the Lagos State National Union of Road Transport Workers boss, Koko Zaria.

The actor made the call in a now viral video on his Instagram page on Monday.

Narrating the ordeal, he said that the incident happened on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the 2024 Idimu Day event.

Baba Lawori claimed Koko Zaria accused him of disregarding him because the actor didn’t acknowledge the NURTW boss on stage while performing his duties as an MC.

The actor said he turned to go make amends but was hit on the head by a Martell bottle by one of Koko Zaria’s associates. According to Lawori, he began bleeding profusely and passed out.

He said:

“Please save me from Koko Zaria, I do not know my offence to him.

“While doing my work as an MC, a man came on the stage to tell me that Koko Zaria is calling me. As I went to meet him, he asked why I didn’t recognize his presence. I apologized and said I didn’t know that he was at the event, and I promised to do the needful when I returned to the stage.

“As I turned back to the stage, a man who came with Koko Zaria took a bottle of Martell (in front of Koko Zaria and his guys) and broke it on my head.

“I was wet with my own blood as I lost consciousness due to the attack.”

“The next thing I knew, I was being carried home, and in pain after my head got stitched. I am still trying to make sense of this unprovoked attack. I have done nothing to wrong these individuals, and I am left wondering why they would attack me in such a vicious manner.

I am reaching out to my fellow Nigerians for help and support. I need assistance in seeking justice and ensuring my safety. No one deserves to be attacked in such a brutal manner, and I hope that together, we can find the perpetrators and bring them to justice”.
