Ghanaian actor. Eddie Watson has expressed strong disapproval of Esther Nwachukwu’s criticism towards the wife of the late Junior Pope, Jennifer Awele.
Esther Nwachukwu had earlier stated that Junior Pope’s wife should be mourning her husband privately for a year instead of taking jobs and being spotted in public just a few months after her husband’s death.
This is coming after a video of Regina Daniels praising Jennifer Awele for her superb art in decorating her sons’ birthday party venue emerged online.
In light of this, Eddie Watson condemned Esther’s comments as disrespectful and questioned her motives.
He wondered why Esther felt it was her place to dictate how Junior Pope’s wife should grieve, emphasizing that everyone experiences and expresses grief differently. He also expressed confusion and sadness at the way people freely judge and meddle in others’ affairs on social media.
Additionally, he suggested that the court system should be used to tackle such disrespect among rogue netizens.
He wrote:
“I’m so confused! What am I watching? What’s with this social media thingy? Why are people so brave to disrespect others or prey in other people’s business? Speaking about someone’s grief like this? How can you tell someone how to grieve? Did she ask for her husband to die? What is going on? This is sad! So sad! #ripjp
P.S.
We need to start using more of the court system! ✊🏾.”
