Kanayo O. Kanayo denies rumors of engaging in midnight rituals for success

Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has firmly denied persistent rumors of engaging in midnight rituals for wealth and success.

In a recent interview with The Punch, Kanayo categorically refuted claims of visiting fetish shrines at night to gain an edge in the film industry.

Addressing the speculations surrounding his long-standing career, Kanayo clarified that his achievements are not the result of any extraordinary or supernatural efforts.

He attributed his enduring success to divine favor and his professional approach to his craft.

“On a lighter note, I have never gone anywhere in the dead of night to be more successful or relevant than anybody else. Perhaps, there is an unseen finger or hand that has said I should continue doing what I’m doing. I am not the best actor, even though I won the Best Actor category of the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006,” he said.

Despite winning the Best Actor award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006, Kanayo remains humble.

The veteran actor acknowledged the talents of his fellow actors without boasting about his own achievements.

“I have not done anything special, but I am a professional to the core. I try to do things the right way,” Kanayo added.

“I have tried as much as I can on my own, because if you play your part, God will also play His part. Also, I have tried as much as I can to take care of my health, and I’ve tried to obey the laws of nature.”
