Sound Sultan’s single released 3 years after death

The late Nigerian singer and songwriter Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan through his management, has dropped a new single, ‘Street OT.’

The new song, which featured rapper Ice Prince and upcoming star DJ ShabzyAce, was released three years after his death as his legacy continues to live on.

According to the report, Sound Sultan’s Street OT was produced by his long-term collaborator and ace producer ID Cabasa to commemorate the talented artiste’s 3rd anniversary.

Recall the Who Is Your Guy crooner Spyro had been featured on South Sultan’s Money Race, released in 2023.

In addition, Sound Sultan treated his fans and followers to posthumous releases, such as the 5-track EP Reality Chq, released in 2022, to mark his first anniversary after his demise.

Sound Sultan passed away at the age of 44 following a hard-fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma in July, 2021.

Recall in January, 2Baba wrote to late Sound Sultan, updating him on a drastic change that has taken place in the Nigerian music industry.

On Instagram, the father of seven said the dream they both had when the late singer was alive has come to fruition.

2Baba stated that they had wished for Nigeria and Africa music to take over and it has come true, so much so that he is now an up and coming artiste.
