During their highly anticipated tour of UNICAL, Mercy Chinwo and Blessed Uzochikwa stood before an eager crowd of students and delivered the life-changing news.

The benevolent couple had previously made headlines in April by awarding scholarships to 50 undergraduates at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) through their Mercyisblessed Foundation and in honor of their son, Charis.
The ‘You Do This One’ hitmaker, known for her electrifying performances and soul-stirring vocals, shared that these scholarships are a heartfelt token of gratitude to the society that nurtured and raised her.
In addition to their philanthropic endeavors, Mercy Chinwo continues to captivate audiences with her musical prowess. She recently unveiled a powerful 12-track album titled ‘Overwhelming Victory,’ recorded during her pregnancy, showcasing her unwavering dedication to her craft even amidst personal milestones.

The couple announced the birth of their child in October 2023. Months later, they announced that the child was named Charis Nduka Blessed.
