Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale opens up on his relationship with his parents, addressing earlier accusations of neglect.
In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale explained that his parents’ actions during his childhood contributed to his current situation.
He stated that their neglect has a lasting negative impact on him, turning him into the person he is today.
He wrote;
“When you born and take care of them anyhow you can before your children turn into monsters
“No one ever apologized for making me this way.”
This disclosure comes following accusations of neglect from his mother, Elsie Evelyn.
In a recent video circulating on social media, the 70-year-old woman shared her health challenges and emotional struggles, revealing a decade-long separation from her son, Shatta Wale.
According to her, she feels neglected by her son, who remains unaware of her living condition and well-being.
Shatta Wale’s mother revealed that she is currently under the care of her sister and niece, Sharita Aheteku, due to her health issues.
Reaching out to the public for financial support, she said:
“My name is Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. I am the biological mother of Shatta Wale. I haven’t spoken with my son for about 10 or more years now. He doesn’t know where I live and what I eat but now my health is dropping and I seriously need help.”
The Ghanaian singer had earlier opened up on how her parents’ split affected him.
The singer spoke about the challenges of growing up in a separated home, emphasizing the instability and emotional upheaval it brought into his life.
He spoke of the impact the lack of a stable family unit had on his sense of security and self-identity during his formative years.
