Elsie Okpocha, the ex-wife of comedian Basketmouth, has clarified the purpose of her direct messages (DMs) on social media.
On her Snapchat page, she addressed the influx of personal messages from admirers and established a clear boundary.
Elsie emphasized that her DM is strictly for professional interactions, such as business inquiries and collaborations.
She respectfully requested that individuals refrain from sending personal messages or expressions of romantic interest, unless they have a legitimate business proposal.
Her statement read:
“Guyssss!!! Plssss, my DM is for business; don’t message me about love; I beg you, in God’s name. If you are not talking business deals, then it’s nonsense to me!!! Stop plssssss; you’re clogging my DM,”
Recall that Elsie and her ex-husband Basketmouth divorced in 2022.
Basketmouth announced the end their marriage on his Instagram page.
He assured the public that they would co-parent peacefully and requested for their privacy.
Elsie on her part maintained absolute silence on the issue and kept on posting like nothing actually happened.
A few days after his announcement an old video of Basketmouth and his wife, Elsie kicking against divorce in an interview with, Wedding Channel Africa, resurfaced online. In the interview, Basketmouth and Elsie vowed never to get a divorce.
This however made Basketmouth to yanked off the divorce post from his IG page.
However, In a interview few months ago, Elsie responded to query about estranged husband.
She spoke in reaction to a question from a concerned fan who commented on her recent dance video.
The man identified as @mark_hill237 wrote: “How is your husband? You don lose fun base well well oooo😢”
Responding, she affirmed that her husband is fine.
