On Friday, Nollywood sensation Regina Daniels unleashed her full support for a groundbreaking bill spearheaded by her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, which aims to carve out Anioma State from the existing Delta State.
The glamorous movie star took to Instagram to share an electrifying video, where she dazzled in her native attire, passionately endorsing the bill. Regina began the video with a warm greeting in her native dialect, radiating pride and authenticity, before introducing herself with the confidence of a true Anioma daughter.
In her heartfelt message, Regina extolled the virtues of Anioma’s rich culture and heritage, highlighting the need for the new state to preserve and promote the identity of her people.
She passionately articulated the aspirations of the Anioma community, emphasizing how the creation of Anioma State would elevate their cultural and socio-economic status.
Regina Daniels spotlighted the immense potential and profitability of the proposed Anioma State, declaring that its creation would ensure an equitable distribution of natural resources and significantly enhance legislative representation for the proud Anioma people
In her native language, she stated, “I want to talk about the Anioma people.”
Switching to English, Regina elaborated, “Anioma is indeed an endowed culture, it possesses the classical characteristics of oneness, a shared history, robust culture, language, traditions, and features that set us apart from other local governments in Delta State yet, uniquely connects us to the south-eastern state.
“As a true daughter of Anioma, I am immensely proud of the recently sponsored bill for the creation of Anioma State by my beloved husband and our distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.”
The actress emphasised the significance of the bill, stating, “I believe the passage of this bill will heed the clarion call for the creation of the sixth state in the south-east, addressing a long-standing injustice.”
