Emeka Ike speaks on achievements since his hiatus from Nollywood


Veteran Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has said his break from the movie industry has been of help to him.

Emeka Ike, who is known for his role in the movie “Deadly Affair”, disclosed this while announcing his comeback.

Recall the actor disappeared from the screens after the crash of his marriage with Suzanne Emma and returned on Toyin Abraham’s movie Malaika.

However, in a chat with NollyNow, the actor, who recently staged a comeback to acting, stated that his absence from the industry gave him the opportunity to build himself more iconic brands.

Recounting his landmark progress, he noted;

“My absence was not really bad because it gave me room to build more brands apart from Emeka Ike you know. I now own Nollywood TV on Startimes and I’m still building other brands that are highly in demand.

“We are breaking the ice once again. I want to keep entertaining my fans and give them what is expected from me.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian actress cum filmmaker, Toyin Abraham revealed she featured her senior colleague, Emeka Ike in her recent film, Malaika after nearly 13 years of being off-screen.

Toyin disclosed this in an interview with media personality, Morayo Afolabi-Brown and the ladies of Your View show aired on TVC.

The mother of one said she decided to bring the veteran actor back on screen because he deserves another chance after a marriage controversy that affected his career.

Emeka Ike’s ex-wife Emma accused him of assault and denied him access to his kids.

The 56-year-old who plays Toyin’s husband in the film claimed that his marital drama led him into depression, which drove him to hide from the spotlight because he was ashamed.
