Josh2Funny opens up on why he stopped crossdressing in his comedy skits

Nigerian comedian Josh Alfred, popularly known as Josh2Funny, has disclosed the surprising reason behind his decision to stop dressing like a woman for his comedic skits

The content creator, known for his humorous portrayal of the character “Mama Felicia,” shared that he received unwanted advances from male fans while in character.

During an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, Josh2Funny explained that these uncomfortable encounters were the primary factor that led him to retire the Mama Felicia persona.

He has since adopted a new character, “Brother Zacchaeus,” to avoid further embarrassment and maintain his comedic integrity.

Reflecting on his experience, Josh2Funny recounted a particularly troubling incident where a male fan persistently contacted him via WhatsApp.

He emphasized that his decision to transition from Mama Felicia to Brother Zacchaeus was necessary to protect his personal comfort and safety.

In his words:

“You see, the difference between me and some other people wey dey do female character, my own was straight comedy. Anybody wey go see me like me no really get sense, no really know where e dey go because I made sure it was stvpid.

“Mama Felicia is a stvpid character, it was straight stvpid. I had a lot of advances. E get one guy, the guy came to my WhatsApp and was like I really like you, I went straight to him and I said bro I’m going to pray and you’re going to be blind in two weeks, the guy begin beg me. Why you go see me, like me?

“E join why I leave the character. It was Mama Felicia I turned Brother Zacchaeus. Instead of wearing female dress, I had to drop it and start putting on male clothes, using the same accent. It was becoming embarrassing for me because I mean I just want to make people laugh.”
