Ayra Starr launches custom-made doll collection [VIDEO]

Ayra Starr unveils her own dolls

Grammy nominated Nigerian musician, Sarah Aderibigbe, known professionally as Ayra Starr, has launched barbie dolls designed in her image.

The 22-year-old Mavin princess unveiled the limited-edition custom-made barbie dolls via her social media pages on Thursday, July 25.

Ayra Starr announced that they will be available in Lagos, the United States, the United Kingdom and France. She, however, did not provide a specific release date. The songstress wrote:

“I’m so excited to announce the release of the limited edition Ayra Starr Dolls! The dolls are coming to: Lagos, the US, the UK and France.

“Stay tuned for more details on how you can enter and win. I can’t wait for you to see them and share the joy!”

Ace music executive and CEO of Mavin Records, Michael Collins Ajereh, professionally known as Don Jazzy has revealed that he doesn’t allow his artistes to release songs or projects on the same day as Wizkid or Asake.

In a podcast interview with Fisayo Fosudo, Jazzy said releasing music on the same day as the duo can be musically suicidal.

It’s not secret that Wizkid and Asake are among the most successful artistes in Nigeria in this streaming era. Don Jazzy said:

“We [Mavin] are moving from the traditional Friday release date to Wednesdays and Thursdays because there are no more Fridays [without another artistes dropping a song].

“If my artiste is to drop a song or project on a Friday and Wizkid or Asake is also releasing that day, I will move our release date because you don’t want to just die a natural death.”

Mavin Records has stars like Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Magixx, Boy Spyce, Johnny Drille, and Lifesize Teddy on its radar
