Malome Vector Passes Away in Car Accident


South African rapper Malome Vector has tragically passed away in a car accident.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Free State, while Vector was traveling with musical collaborators Puleng Phoofolo and Lizwi Wokuqala.

His former record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, confirmed the news in a statement.

Two others involved in the accident were taken to Boitumelo Regional Hospital with injuries.

The Free State Department of Health reported that three men were declared dead at the scene of an accident on the N1 near the Koppies turn-off close to Kroonstad.

Ambitiouz Entertainment expressed their condolences, describing Vector as a “shining beacon” and offering support to his loved ones and friends during this difficult time.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of a shining beacon; the Lion of Lesotho’s sun has set. Our deepest condolences go out to his loved ones and industry peers during this time of profound loss” they wrote.

In a related news, South African singer Costa Titch dies on stage during live performance.

The news of Titch’s death was confirmed by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela on his Twitter handle just before midnight and was followed by a string of sad reactions from industry colleagues.

Mphela tweeted: “RIP: Costa Titch.

“Nelspruit-born artist and dancer, real name Costa Tsobanoglou, has passed away. He was 27.”

Titch was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga in 1995.

He is known for several hits, including Nkalakatha and Activate.

No official statement has been made by the singer’s family at the time of filing this report, but condolence messages have been pouring in across social media including from popular Nigerian Disk Jockey (DJ) Imohiosen Patrick, professional known as DJ Neptune.

Costa would be remembered for his classic hits such as ‘Big Flexa’ featuring C’Buda M, ‘Maitama’ featuring Nigerian duo Temi and Mayorkun, his feature on Mavin records signee Crayon’s ‘Ijo (Laba Laba)’ remix and 2022 hit ‘Superstar’ with Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.
