Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stirred up a storm on social media with his recent advise about money and the inevitability of death.
The actor, who last year founded an online church, took to Instagram to share his thoughts, urging his followers to spend their money generously rather than hoarding it.
In a video post, Yul , speaking in pidgin English, advised his fans to “chop their money” and to share some with others in need, warning that if they don’t, someone else will end up spending it after they die.
His remarks quickly sparked a wave of reactions, with many fans expressing their disapproval.
Yul Edochie, known for his outspoken nature, further elaborated on his views by stating that life was not as serious as people made it out to be, emphasizing that everyone would eventually die.
In his words:
“We’re all going to die. It’s only a matter of time. e go reach everybody.
“Life is really not that serious. Na we just dey take am too serious.
“That money wey you dey hide, bring am out, chop am well well.
“Share some to other people. If not, you go still leave am die.”
This perspective, coupled with his past controversial decisions, including taking a second wife, has led to a mixed reception from the public.
