Rudeboy opens up on why he no longer engages with Nigerian politics


Veteran singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has openly shared his reasons for withdrawing from political commentary on Nigeria’s state of affairs.

In a recent interview on Cool FM, the singer revealed that he no longer pays attention to the state of Nigeria’s affairs.

The singer, whose last public opinion was voiced during the 2023 general elections, expressed disillusionment with the impact of his previous involvement.

Rudeboy admitted that his previous engagement in political discourse did not produce the desired results.

Expressing his frustration, the singer said:

“I’m sorry. I don’t have any opinion anymore. The last opinion I did was during the election and I am not saying anything anymore. Nothing concern me again. Anyhow wey una wan run the country, make una run am. I’m building my own country myself now.”

In other news, Veteran Nigerian musician, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy has reacted to Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as the president-elect in the just concluded presidential election.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Paul Okoye who’s an ardent supporter of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi stated that he is yet to see videos of people celebrating Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s triumph in the presidential election, especially those residing in Northern Nigeria.

The ‘Reason With Me‘ hitmaker claimed that there is no one from the Northern region making a fuss or holding motorbike processions on the streets to celebrate Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s success in the presidential race.
