Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 housemate Wanni has publicly apologized to her fellow housemate Onyeka after a recent clash that escalated into a heated argument.
The altercation arose when Onyeka accused Wanni of gossiping about her behind her back, sparking a furious response from Wanni.
In the midst of their confrontation, Wanni, visibly upset, lashed out at Onyeka, calling her a “childish b*tch.”
This reaction was criticized by Wanni’s twin sister, Handi, who advised her to calm down and address the situation more maturely.
Taking her sister’s advice to heart, Wanni extended an apology to Onyeka, specifically for the derogatory term she used.
In her apology, Wanni acknowledged her emotional outburst and expressed regret for her harsh words.
She explained that her frustration stemmed from feeling hurt by someone she considers a friend, and she promised to work on managing her emotions better.
In Wanni’s words:
“I got very mad, that was why I used ‘B’ word and because I consider us friends. And when my friends do something to me, I get very emotional.
“From the start, I shouldn’t have come at you like that. You were mad and you had every right to say what you said. I should have explained to you. When I came back to call you ‘B’ word, I’m very sorry about that.
“I’m still working on controlling my emotions. And by God’s grace I will achieve it. I shouldn’t have called you the ‘B’ word. I shouldn’t have spoken to you the way I responded to you at the table. This week has been weird and I felt it. Moving forward, maybe we will spend time with you guys and you guys will understand me more. I’m very very peaceful. Extremely peaceful. Trust me, Onyeka, if I have something to say to you, I will say it in your front. I don’t go behind people to say something. I’m not like that.”
Onyeka, upon hearing Wanni’s apology, accepted it.
