Rapper Rick Ross is facing legal action for allegedly failing to provide wheelchair accessibility at his popular Car & Bike Show.
The lawsuit was filed by Darris Straughter, a man with a disability, who claims he was unable to attend the event at Ross’ estate in Fayetteville, Georgia due to the lack of accommodations.
Straughter, who has been disabled since a spinal cord injury in 2018, reached out to event organizers in advance to request accessibility measures.
He alleged that despite assurances of refunds for those unable to attend, he never received any compensation or follow-up from the organizers.
With representation from attorney John Hoover Esq., Straughter is suing Ross for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act.
The lawsuit is seeking damages and a court order to ensure future events provide proper access for disabled individuals.
