Rapper Rick Ross sued for not making show wheelchair accessible for disabled

Rick Ross Faces Lawsuit Over Accessibility Concerns at His Car & Bike Show

Rapper Rick Ross is facing legal action for allegedly failing to provide wheelchair accessibility at his popular Car & Bike Show.

The lawsuit was filed by Darris Straughter, a man with a disability, who claims he was unable to attend the event at Ross’ estate in Fayetteville, Georgia due to the lack of accommodations.

Straughter, who has been disabled since a spinal cord injury in 2018, reached out to event organizers in advance to request accessibility measures.

He alleged that despite assurances of refunds for those unable to attend, he never received any compensation or follow-up from the organizers.

With representation from attorney John Hoover Esq., Straughter is suing Ross for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The lawsuit is seeking damages and a court order to ensure future events provide proper access for disabled individuals.

In another story, M.I Abacha opens up on why he was denied access to Rick Ross.

M.I Abaga revealed he was denied access to American rapper Rick Ross because the Afro-beat industry has no respect for Hip-hop.

M.I Abaga who recently got engaged, said this on Twitter on Friday, April 15, just some moments after fellow rapper Ycee accused show organizers of neglecting Nigerian rappers at the concert orgainsed for Rick Ross in Lagos on Thursday which had Afro-beat singers like Davido, Tiwa Savage, Rema and Patoranking in attendance.

Supporting Ycee’s claims, M.I said he was poorly treated during his 2008 collaboration with rapper Jay Z, pop star Rihanna and RNB singer Usher.

He, however, promised to make great music for those who care about the Rap genre
