- Mohbad’s family has erupted with a blazing warning aimed at those daring to exploit his legacy under the guise of celebrating his anniversary.
- Through a strongly worded statement issued by their lawyer, the family made it clear that they’ve caught wind of schemes to swindle them under the guise of honoring the late artist
- The lawyer didn’t mince words, making it crystal clear that anyone with intentions to ride on Mohbad’s legacy must first bow to the family’s authority and obtain their explicit consent before moving forward.
The family of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, famously known as Mohbad, has fiercely rejected any plans to commemorate the anniversary of the late artist.
In a searing statement penned by their legal bulldog, Monisola Odumosu, the family didn’t just urge—they demanded that every organization and individual plotting to commemorate Mohbad’s first anniversary abandon those thoughts immediately..
They are wary of the vultures circling around his legacy, aiming to capitalize on the tragedy that took him at just 27 years old.
The Alobas made it crystal clear that they’re still grappling with the agonizing loss of the singer and they’re not interested in reopening the festering wounds left by the suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
The statement reads, “It has come to the attention of the Aloba family that some organisations have been planning to celebrate the first anniversary of the death of our late son and singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad). The Aloba family wishes to appeal to such interest groups to suspend such ideas.
“It is no longer news that some individuals and organisations have been planning to carry out events to commemorate the late singer’s death
“We will appeal to such persons and organisations to seek proper approval from the family before going on with such plans. The Aloba family would not wish the goodwill of their illustrious son to be employed for commercial purposes.”
