Nigerian Afropop singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka popularly known as Chike has gifted N1 million to a troll who mocked him for allegedly gaining fame through the late musician Mohbad.
This gesture comes after the release of Chike’s hit song “Egwu,” a collaboration with Mohbad before his untimely demise.
The song quickly climbed the charts, becoming a major hit across various streaming platforms. Despite the success, some social media users accused Chike of leveraging Mohbad’s name for his own gain.
The criticism intensified when Chike shared a video of his new song on X (formerly Twitter), which prompted a particular troll, @hate_ofx, to comment, “Mohbad made you.”
In a surprising response, Chike decided to turn the criticism into a positive act. By gifting N1 million to the troll.
