Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has added his voice to the growing chorus of Nigerians reacting to the boiling feud between the Psquare brothers—Peter, Paul, and Jude Okoye.
Peter Okoye recently leveled accusations against his twin brother, alleged that Paul disrespected his wife and family, claimed sole ownership of songs they created together, and belittled his role in the group’s success.
The drama took a sharp turn after Peter dropped a bombshell behind the mysterious Northside Music, a company he claimed is allegedly owned in secret by their elder brother Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
As the dust from this family saga continues to swirl, Yul Edochie chimed in with a controversial statement that has tongues wagging.
He addressed those advocating for peace between the brothers, suggesting that sometimes, the only way to achieve peace is by creating distance, even from one’s own blood.
He wrote in part;
“Sometime peace comes from staying apart, sometime even family members have to be blocked to achieve peace. Sometimes you just have to relate with people from distance to have peace”
In his candid remarks, Yul emphasized the critical importance of peace in a man’s life, boldly declaring that the absence of peace is a driving factor behind why we see more widows than widowers.

His comment ignited a firestorm of reactions, with a torrent of scathing criticisms from many and a few voices of support. Some derisively labeled Yul as utterly unqualified to dispense advice, given his own messy separation from wife May Edochie, and didn’t hold back from hurling scornful and derogatory epithets his way.
