Wizkid rolls out series of posts in response to criticism over his recent post

Nigerian music sensation, Wizkid, has finally broken his silence after facing intense backlash for his recent post.

Starboy had taken to his verified accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to post a cryptic message, saying “Una papa!” which translates to “Your father!”.

The post was accompanied by some photos of himself.

While some fans of Wizkid seemed to take the comment in stride, others were quick to express their outrage and disappointment.

One X user, @ArewaAdebukolaa, fired back at Wizkid, saying “Your papa too… this midget will just wake up, smoke igbo, and tweet rubbish. Your papa papa x10. Werey ni e nii?”

In response to the criticism, Wizkid took to his X account today, August 16th, to share a message of love and subtly addressed those who had attacked him.

Wizkid wrote, “Don’t get it twisted, love is a beautiful thing!”

He added, “Awon werey kan Lon correct daddy won,” which roughly translates to “Only mad people correct their fathers.”

In another report, Nigerian singer, Asake shared the backstory of Wizkid’s feature on his song ‘MMS’.

Durng an interactive session with fans on Instagram. He revealed that it was actually Wizkid who reached out to him to be featured on the track.

According to Asake, the producer P. Prime played the song for Wizkid and he expressed interest in being a part of it.

Asake admitted that he had not planned on having Wizkid on the song originally, but was pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to collaborate.

“I didn’t know I was going to put Wizkid on that song to be honest. I had someone else in mind for that song, but I think P.prime played the song to wiz, and wiz said “I f*ck with this song, I want to jump on it’,” he said.

Asake had earlier revealed that he has been eager to collaborate with Wizkid.

He disclosed this while relishing his collaboration with the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner in this newly-released third studio album, ‘Lungu Boy.’
