In a remarkable display of philanthropy and devotion, billionaire businessman Dr Adedeji Adeleke, father of renowned musician Davido, made a staggering donation of N1 billion to the Centenary Endowment Fund of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church.
This generous gesture was made in honour of his late mother, Madam Esther Adeleke, during a Thanksgiving service held at the church’s headquarters in Lagos.
Dr. Adeleke’s announcement was met with applause and loud chants from the congregation.
Dignitaries such as Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun, and Gov. Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State all smiled in approval.
Making the announcement, Dr Adeleke said:
“On behalf of our late mother, senior mother in Israel, late Mrs Esther Adeleke, we want to contribute to the endowment fund, Centenary Endowment Fund. We are contributing the sum of N1 billion.”
