Nigerian singer Chike has demonstrated his kindness by gifting a fan ₦100,000 to support him in buying a laptop.
The fan, who had been consistently reaching out to Chike on Twitter for six days, finally received a response from the singer.
On August 19, 2024, the fan posted a message, expressing his admiration for Chike’s talent and reiterating his request for assistance in buying a laptop.
He wrote, “Day 6 of asking my idolo for help @Officialchike. God bless ur beautiful voice, sir. A laptop is all I need, sir.”
Chike responded by asking the fan to share his bank account details.
“Send your bank account,” Chike said, after which the fan wrote his account number.
After a short while, Chike made the transfer. The fan expressed heartfelt gratitude, sharing a screenshot of the transfer receipt and acknowledging the significant impact of Chike’s generosity on his project.
He said, “Thank you very much, sir. This would go a long way for my project. Make God continue to bless you, sir.”
This was after Chike gifted troll N1million after he accused him of gaining fame through Mohbad’s death.
This gesture comes after the release of Chike’s hit song “Egwu,” a collaboration with Mohbad before his untimely demise.
The song quickly climbed the charts, becoming a major hit across various streaming platforms. Despite the success, some social media users accused Chike of leveraging Mohbad’s name for his own gain.
The criticism intensified when Chike shared a video of his new song on X (formerly Twitter), which prompted a particular troll, @hate_ofx, to comment, “Mohbad made you.”
In a surprising response, Chike decided to turn the criticism into a positive act. By gifting N1 million to the troll.
